OUR CHATTANOOGA Thrift stores
Chambliss Center for Children operates two thrift stores in Chattanooga. Proceeds from these stores support our programs and operations. You can donate your new or gently-used items at our stores. For larger items, please call our Red Bank store to schedule a pick-up.

DONATIONS
We appreciate all donations. However, we do need to refuse some donations due to the condition of the items or space limitations. Our employees are trained to know what we can and cannot accept. In the event that we are unable to accept an item, we will not be able to dispose of that item on your behalf. Please be prepared to make other arrangements for removal if need be.
Our stores will Accept:
Clothing and shoes - men, women and children’s
Household items (decorative items, pictures, linens, lamps, etc.)
Kitchen items (dishes, cookware, etc.)
Large and small appliances
Furniture and Electronics
Mattresses that are in excellent condition and less than 5 years old
Outdoor items (patio furniture, flower pots, etc.)
Medical equipment (potty chairs, shower, chairs, crutches, walkers, etc.)
Baby items (car seats, bouncer chairs, swings, etc.)
Toys and baby items
Books, videos, CDs, DVDs, etc.
Our Stores will NOT accept:
Items that are dirty, faded, infested, rusted, moldy, smelly, mildewed, or have excessive pet hair.
Unlaundered clothing or linens
Items that cannot be sold or that have been recalled
Appliances or electronics that have missing parts or do not work
Box style TVs or computer monitors, console TVs, and projection TVs
Car batteries, tires or other car parts
Sleeper sofas
Baby cribs made before 2011, or expired car seats
Gas appliances
Open/used paint and spray paint
Pianos and full size organs
Waterbeds or hospital beds
Encyclopedias
Drop side baby cribs and car seats
Building materials (wood, light fixtures, sinks, cabinets, etc.)
Items that are too heavy to lift safely or that cannot be removed without causing damage to property
Executive sized desks (larger than 3x3 ft)
Food items
