Chambliss Center for Children is looking for a Human Resources Manager who has outstanding people skills, who is able to guide/lead our agency's initiatives and programs throughout our different sites, and can align the agency's objectives. This individual should have strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices, have strong organizational skills, be a strategic thinker, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Under the direction of the President/CEO, the position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource functions of the agency.
Duties:
1. Advertises and recruits potential candidates for any open positions within the organization.
2. Manages paperwork of all new hires.
3. Participates in the disciplining of staff, in partnership with the President/CEO and appropriate supervisors.
4. Ensures that annual performance reviews are conducted on all employees.
5. Oversees and administers all employee compensation, benefits, health/wellness, safety, charitable giving, and other employee services.
6. Provides coaching and counseling to staff on human resource matters, as requested.
7. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
8. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
9. Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.
10. Ensures that all personnel files are complete and current.
11. Leads an annual review of the organization’s Personnel Handbook, communicates changes in the organization's policies and procedures, and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
12. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the President/CEO, on personnel matters.
13. Performs other duties assigned by the President/CEO.
Working Schedule:
Forty hours per week with the schedule flexed in keeping with the responsibilities of the job.
