PARENT MEMO

TO:            ALL PARENTS, RED BANK EARLY LEARNING CENTER & VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY SCHOOL

FROM:       PHIL ACORD, CEO

DATE:        ARPIL 2, 2020

The Board of Directors and administration of Chambliss Center for Children continues to examine the current health situation and take steps to ensure the safety of our staff, children, and families.  Thus, the decision has been made to postpone reopening of our childcare center to full operations at this time.  We hope to reopen on Monday, April 27th, but this will be re-evaluated as we get closer to that date.  You will receive communication from us on or before Friday, April 24thto notify you of the plan going forward.  No fees will be charged until your child is able to attend.

We will continue to offer childcare to those of you whose jobs are considered essential and who can obtain a letter from your employer stating as much.  Special reservation forms are available from your Site Director and must be received by Thursday at 9 am of the week prior to your need for care.  That care is currently being offered for both sites at Volunteer Community School.

Please know that we are trying our hardest to do what’s in the best interest of our families as well as our staff.  We are making efforts to ensure that our staff continues to be paid during their time away, and we are exploring all opportunities for support from the recently passed CARES Act.  Please stay home and stay safe as we all navigate this uncertain time.
